There’s something elemental about a deck of playing cards. A wood-cut king reflected across the length of cardstock feels like an eternal object. But despite their intricacy, cards are often regarded as mundane, household objects. In this series, I wanted to play on those expectations, creating scenes that draw you in, unfolding the longer you look.
